For eight-year old Anish Krishnan Ganesh, a student of Vaels Billabong High International School, “Never Give Up” has been his principle from a very early age. He has achieved the 19th rank at an international level in the International Math Olympiad (IMO) Examination conducted by Science Olympiad Foundation. He has secured the 27th international rank in National Science Olympiad (NSO) Examination. He has qualified himself for the second-level of both the examinations which will be conducted this year. In the second-level, he has scored 100 per cent in IMO Examination. In 2012, he secured 97 per cent in International English Olympiad (IEO). He has been awarded a cash prize from Science Olympiad Foundation for his excelling performance in these examinations.
To add on to his credits, he has won first place in a competition conducted by Ideal Abacus Private Limited. The contest primarily tests mathematical skills.
He has qualified for Cambridge English Movers Examination conducted by Cambridge University. Anish was conferred with the title “Star Student of the Year 2012” in his class. Like any other child, he is fond of computers, IPad, PS3, WII and other electronic gadgets. This interest enabled him to create animations using Adobe Flash Professional and creative snap shots using Adobe Photoshop. His passion is to become a Robotics Research Engineer and he has tried his hands in creating simple web pages using HTML.
Besides his interest in academics, he is fond of solving puzzles and has found new algorithms in solving Rubik’s cube. He has won events such as origami art model in inter-school competitions.
