Hottest day of the season

The city recorded the hottest day of the season this year so far on Tuesday, with the mercury level touching 39.3 degree Celsius.

According to the Regional Meteorological Centre, the temperature could go up further in the coming days.

In 2009, the highest temperature recorded in the city was 41.1 degree Celsius, while in the previous year the maximum temperature was 42.1 degree Celsius.

The department forecasts that the temperature could be 38 degree Celsius on Wednesday.
