Acting with legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan was a great honour, says Akshara Haasan, who is making her debut in the film Shamitabh , a Hindi entertainer scheduled for release on February 6.
“I am honoured to be part of the team that produced this film,” says actor Kamal Haasan’s second daughter.
“Amitabh sir has helped me discover my acting skills and this experience will help me perform better in upcoming films,” says Akshara, who is paired with Dhanush in the film. Maestro Ilayaraja has scored the music, adding to the film’s appeal.
While releasing a teaser of the film at Sathyabama University in Semmanchery on Friday, writer-director R. Balki said Shamitabh is a story of the clash of egos. “One of the unique features of the film is that AB has lent his voice to Dhanush, who has performed with great ease,” says Balki.
Dhanush says, “I have waited for nearly eight months for this wonderful script and it will surely fulfil audience’s expectations.” This is his second Hindi film after Raanjhanaa .
Students who had a small interaction with Dhanush say though they were disappointed Amitabh could not attend, they were certainly excited to be a part of the launch event.
