Honorary doctorates for Jagannadha Raju, Prafulata Bharadwaj

The Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi Viswa Mahavidyayala will confer honorary doctorates on an eminent educationalist and a social activist.

On Thursday, vice-chancellor C.V. Vaidyanathan said Honoris Causa Doctor of Science will be conferred on Prof. Dr. G.J.V. Jagannadha Raju, an eminent educationist and former vice-chancellor of Nagarjuna University, during the 16 convocation to be held in the University premises at Enathur on October 28.

Honoris Causa Doctor of Literature will be conferred on leading lawyer and social activist, Ms. Prafulata Bharadwaj, wife of Karnataka Governor Hans Raj Bharadwaj, for championing the empowerment of women and children, he said.

A total of 1,392 students will receive their degrees on the occasion.
