Hijacked lorry recovered

A lorry carrying a consignment of ingredients to make chocolates and meant for export to Italy that was hijacked last week was recovered on Wednesday evening. The value of the recovered ingredients is reported to be Rs. 1 crore, the city police said, adding two men were arrested.

Five lorries, all of them packed with the ingredients, left a godown in Ponneri on Wednesday last week and headed to Chennai Port Trust. One of the lorries driven by Rishi of Rajasthan took a detour on the way to the port.
