The Pallavaram police on Tuesday arrested a man in connection with the murder of an employee of a software company on Saturday night.

A release said special teams were formed to probe the murder of Parthasarathy (26). Investigations revealed that Parthasarathy, before joining the company, was running a shelter for senior citizens, when he got acquainted with Pradeep, a car driver. Pradeep had obtained a loan of Rs.20,000 from Parthasarathy. When Parthasarathy asked Pradeep to repay the money, he began to dodge him. On Saturday, Pradeep asked Parthasarathy to meet him on Pallavaram – Thoraipakkam Radial Road, assuring him that he would return the cash. When Parthasarathy came to the spot, Pradeep pulled out a pen knife and assaulted him. He sustained injuries in his throat and succumbed to bleeding injuries. Pradeep was arrested and further investigations were on, sources said.
