Half marathon on July 24

July 23, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 05:33 am IST - CHENNAI:

The fifth edition of Dream Runners half marathon will be organised on July 24.

The 10-km and 21-km runs will be flagged off at Olcott School, Besant Nagar at 4.30 a.m. Nearly 4,600 runners have signed up this year.

The proceeds will be used for the purchase of 20 artificial limbs for the needy identified through the Freedom Trust, and an awareness campaign on organ donation in association with the Tamil Nadu Cadaver Transplant.

This year, Dream Runners has tied up with the Earth Recycler team to minimise waste. — Staff Reporter
