The government is committed to make Tamil Nadu a frontrunner on all fronts, Minister for Commercial Taxes and Registration S. Gokula Indira said on Monday.

Launching the Shri Shuddhadwaita Vaishnav Balamandir School (pre KG-Classes V) in Shenoy Nagar, Ms. Indira said the regime led by Chief Minister Jayalalithaa would spare no effort to make Tamil Nadu a lead State on a par with Gujarat, which had developed rapidly.

“The Chief Minister is also committed to implement all the promises made in the election manifesto.” One of the priorities of the government would be tackling price rise, she said. Stating that she attached value to regular interface with the public, Ms. Indira said she would, at all times, “be accessible to people.” The Minister, who also dedicated the ‘Shri Ram Das Purushotham Das Block' to the school, called upon educational institutions to inculcate the spirit of serving others in children.

She wanted teachers to take the initiative in instilling the quality of service and integrity in students.

In his welcome address, Govind Das Purushotham Das, School Correspondent, said that the Shri Shuddhadwaita Vaishnav Maha Sabha, which administers the school, was established to render service to society in various ways.
