Towards making the environment green, Pasumai Thayagam, has launched a ‘Go Green’ campaign in Alandur (Chennai Corporation Ward 166) recently. Students and volunteers of the forum organised a door-to-door campaign asking the residents to plant more trees and requested them to preserve the tree saplings already planted by NGOs and environment enthusiasts.

They also planted saplings in and around Alandur to instill the awareness on planting trees to save our environment with a caption ‘Go Green.’

Former MLA Thirukachur K. Arumugam, District Co-ordinators of Pasumai Thayagam N. Kannan, volunteers G.K. Aranganathan, Alandur S. Durai, V. Ganapathi and Srinivasan led the campaign. It may be recalled that Pasumai Thayagam has planned to distribute 10,000 saplings per assembly constituency across the State.
