Girl injured in student clash

Flower Bazaar police are searching for college students who pelted stones on an MTC bus during a clash and injured another student on Thursday.

The clash broke out between two gangs of students when the MTC bus, on route 2A (Anna Square to Kannadasan Nagar), was on Walltax Road around 3.30 p.m. on Thursday. One group pelted stones.

Aishwarya, a student of a government college who was on the bus, was injured after the window panes were broken. A doctor at Government Stanley Hospital said she had suffered a facial injury and undergone treatment. The police interrogated some students and also obtained CCTV footage from nearby. — Special Correspondent
