Gang attacks car in Veeramani's house

The suspects barged in by forcing open the gate and targeted the car with clubs and iron rods

A car parked in the house of Dravidar Kazhagam leader K. Veeramani at Adyar was attacked by a seven-member gang on Friday.

According to police sources, the suspects barged in by forcing open the gate and targeted the car with clubs and iron rods. The windshields and window panes were damaged. Two persons restrained the watchman.

Nobody was injured. The attackers escaped after locals gathered in front of the house.

A special team of the Adyar police is investigating, the sources added.

Commissioner of Police T. Rajendran said the motive of the attack was under investigation.
