The Crime Branch CID police on Tuesday arrested a French national against whom a Red Corner Notice was issued by the Interpol. Eric Martin alias Jeck Fernandes (53) was convicted in France on charges of rape. He escaped from custody and entered India through Nepal many years ago.
A special team nabbed him at Madhavaram.
“We have executed a Red Corner Notice. He is a rape convict hiding in India,” Additional Director General of Police (CBCID) Archana Ramasundaram said.
