J.S.N. Murthy, Professor of Cardiology at Sri Ramachandra University, has been awarded the FRCP, Glasgow.
Dr. Murthy, a Fellow of several internationally acclaimed professional bodies, will receive the honour at a convocation scheduled for November in Glasgow.
With more than 30 years of experience in cardiology, Dr. Murthy has independently performed over 25,000 cardiac catheterisation and interventional procedures. He has expertise in such areas as cardiac catheterisation for rheumatic heart disease, pacemaker implantation, aortogram for peripheral vascular disease and renal transplantation.
Dr. Murthy, who teaches DNB (Cardiology) at the university, is a recipient of several awards, including the Dr.K.S. Sanjeevi Award 2010.
