Foetus found at Chennai airport

A four-month-old foetus was abandoned near Chennai airport’s cargo complex on Monday morning, airport sources said.

Around 9 a.m., on Monday, the foetus was found near a public lavatory on the fire station road close to the cargo complex in Meenambakkam. Passersbys in the area who spotted the foetus lying on the road alerted the police.

The police rushed the foetus to Chrompet General Hospital. The foetus was then placed in the hospital’s mortuary, the sources said.
