Five IPS officers in the rank of Additional Director-General of Police belonging to the 1983/84 batches were promoted as Director-General of Police on Friday.
ADGP (Prisons) S. George was promoted and posted as DGP/Chairman, Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board, Chennai, in the existing vacancy.
He will hold full additional charge as the ADGP (Prisons).
T.K. Rajendran, ADGP and Commissioner of Police, Chennai Police, K. Radhakrishnan, ADGP (Civil Supplies CID), Chennai, and K.P. Maghendran, ADGP (Training), Chennai, were promoted as DGPs.
They have been retained in the same posts respectively.
P.C. Lallawmsanga, ADGP/Principal Secretary, Department of Disaster Management, Rehabilitation, Excise and Narcotics, Government of Mizoram, has been promoted as DGP without prejudice to his inter-state deputation with the Government of Mizoram, according to an official press release.
