Five crucial documents have mysteriously gone missing from the office of the Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage Board (TWAD) on Kamaraj Salai.

Officials realised that the documents pertaining to some court cases involving the TWAD from the years 2002, 2005, 2010 and 2011 were missing during a recent inspection by TWAD staff this week. However, it is not known when the files went missing. An internal departmental enquiry is underway, according to Anna Square police.

On Thursday, TWAD official Muthukumaraswamy lodged a complaint at Anna Square station regarding the missing files and a case has been registered. Investigations are on.

The papers pertained to some court cases over the past 13 years
