If you're a film buff interested in cinema exploring Indo-American themes, ‘Yellow Frames', a film festival inaugurated here on Friday might interest you.

Organised by the U.S. Consulate General, Chennai, in association with the L.V. Prasad Film & TV Academy, the two-day festival being held at the South Indian Film Chamber Theatre began with the screening of ‘American Chai'.

Inaugurating the festival, director of the L.V. Prasad Film & TV Academy, K. Hariharan, said the festival was a salute to film makers who presented interesting themes in crossover cinema, using the two countries, and the conflicts and resolutions between guests and hosts.

Andrew T. Simkin, U.S Consul General in Chennai, said the film festival was interesting as it was about countries that were culturally vibrant, pluralistic and large democracies. Actor and dancer Shobana said as a creative person she did not recognise boundaries and film making was the same everywhere.
