The key to success in life lies in transforming ones’ knowledge in a manner it benefits others, according to the director of Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, Puducherry, Subash Chandra Parija.

Delivering the convocation address at Meenakshi Academy of Higher Education and Research (Meenakshi University) in Meenakshi Medical College Hospital and Research Institute here on Saturday, he urged graduates to start questioning themselves on how to make their knowledge helpful for others.

Pointing out that success was linked to making sustained efforts, he called upon the graduates to include “ethics and compassion in their agenda before stepping out to practice. The need of the hour was inculcating ethics in all aspects of the profession. Any profession, when it crosses the boundaries of ethics, will suffer, he said.

“More than skills, try to be honest while delivering your services,” he said.
