Eight injured in accident on Kamarajar Salai

Eight persons were injured when a load autorickshaw driver rammed into an MTC bus on Kamarajar Salai on Friday morning.

Anna Square traffic police said the accident took place when the autorickshaw, driven by Mugesh (32) of Madhavaram, collided with the route 27 B bus.

Passengers Loganathan (23), Prasad (22), Manoharan (40) Lakshmi (37) and Vijaya (45) who were disembarking from the bus at the Ezhilagam bus stop were injured.

Murgesh, as well as Ravi Kumar (32) and Kumar (36) who were in the autorickshaw were also injured. However, the condition of all eight injured persons is stable, police added.
