DP World Chennai receives Visvesvaraya award

The award is given to DP World Chennai in recognition of the significant contribution made in private port services promoting trade and manufacturing in Tamil Nadu and neighbouring States.

All India Manufacturers’ Organisation (Tamil Nadu State Board) organised the Sir Visvesvaraya Industrial Awards function on August 6.

DP World Chennai was honoured with Sir Visvesvaraya Industrial Award in recognition of the significant contribution made by the institution in private port services promoting trade and manufacturing in Tamil Nadu and neighbouring States.

The Speaker of Legislative Assembly D. Jayakumar, presented the award to Ennarasu Karunesan, Director and CEO, DP World.

The award is instituted in memory of Sir M. Visvesvaraya to recognise excellence in performance of corporate / industrial houses in the State of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.

Mr. Ennarasu Karunesan complimented his team for the consistent performance and customer-delighted approach.

In his acceptance speech, he mentioned that this achievement would not have been possible without the continuous support of the entire trade in this region.
