Dismissed police officer Premkumar dead

K. Premkumar (56), a Superintendent of Police dismissed from service, died following sudden illness at a private hospital here on Tuesday.

According to police sources, Premkumar complained of uneasiness on Monday night and was shifted to the hospital where he died shortly after midnight.

He was one of the officers who investigated the murder of Sankararaman, manager of Sri Varadaraja Perumal Temple, Kancheepuram, in September 2004.
