After days of rumours and denials, the truth of the relationship is finally out in the open. Director A.L. Vijay, in a press release on Saturday, said he and actor Amala Paul intend to get married.
“I take this opportunity to declare my conversion of status from single to couple… I have found a soulmate in Amala (Paul). She’s the girl with the most beautiful heart and is a treasure. I will preserve her with utmost love and care,” Vijay said in a statement. Amala Paul, the ‘Myna’ girl, starred in two of his movies: ‘Deivathirumagal’ and ‘Thalaiva’, where she had starred opposite actor Vijay.
With this, Vijay has finally addressed the long-standing rumours about his relationship with the actor. Amala Paul, in response to the rumours, had earlier this month indicated that the media should wait for a statement from Vijay who was then out of the country.
However, the wedding dates are yet to be announced. Vijay, who is busy with upcoming movie ‘Saivam’, in his statement, said: “We will meet the media and friends with personal invitations. Amala has got a few commitments and I'm expecting ‘Saivam’ to release shortly. Only after all this will we be able to spare more time towards the celebration of our life.”
