This festive season, city residents seem to be patronising state-run milk federation Aavin in a big way.

In the last 10 days, it has sold, in bulk, sweets, khoa, badam milk powder, ghee and butter worth Rs. 3.5 crore. This is apart from the daily sales.

“Various thrift and credit societies of government departments and private companies have placed orders with us for Deepavali. We also had bulk orders for Ayudha puja,” an Aavin official said.

For Deepavali, Aavin has introduced 250 gm packs of sweets such as cashew halwa (Rs. 130), cashew cake (Rs. 130), chocolate burfi (Rs. 100), dry fruit burfi (Rs. 110) and special nuts halwa (Rs. 100). Bulk orders can be placed by mailing aavin specialorder@gmail.com.
