An All India Craft Expo is on at Rajeswari Hall, No. 168, Lake View Road, West Mambalam (Opposite Anjaneyar Koil). On display are collection of wrap-rounds in khadi print with sequences and flair cut, kurtas, terracotta items from Kolkata and Karnataka, antique wooden items from Jodhpur, teak wood from Hoshairpur, black metal from Hyderabad, one-gram gold jewellery, traditional homemade eatable from Rajasthan, appliqué dress, Bengal cotton dress, traditional georgette saris, bed sheet from Haryana, silk painting from Kishanagarh , kota saris, Kashmiri tops, dress material in Pashmina, shawls, Lucknow chickan work material, door and window curtains, diwan set, bandhini dress materials, Hyderabad cotton and silk saris. Wall hangings with paintings, called Pattachitras, are also available. The hangings usually have mythological themes taken from Mahabharata, Ramayana and stories of Radha-Krishna. The canvas prepared through indigenous method gives a leathery effect and painting is done using vegetable die.
