Apollo Hospitals group launched its first full-fledged cosmetic clinic here on Friday. The Apollo Cosmetic Clinics will provide cosmetic enhancement treatment such as liposuction, hair restoration, body shaping, chin correction and face lift.
Speaking at the launch, Prathap C. Reddy, Chairman of the Group, said in the next two to three months the hospital is planning to set up five more such clinics in other cities.
He announced that the hospital would also be venturing into stem cell therapy for cosmetic treatment. The target in India, he said, would be people in the 35-50 age group. Preetha Reddy, Managing Director, Apollo Hospitals group, said the cosmetic industry is a growing business not only in India but globally. “With the best infrastructure and state-of-art facilities, we would continue to raise our bar and enhance the image of people,” she said. Nearly 25 surgeons are part of the new clinic.
Durgavathi Stalin, wife of Deputy Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, inaugurated the clinic.
