Corporation takes over Rs. 300-crore OSR lands

The Chennai Corporation on Friday took over 26 OSR (open space reservation) lands worth Rs.300 crore in various parts of the city.

Inspecting the work to demarcate the boundaries of the OSR lands, Mayor M. Subramanian said “The Corporation has taken possession of 100 grounds of OSR land in the past one month. We will continue to take over all OSR lands.”

The total area of the pieces of OSR lands which were taken over by the Corporation on Friday from the CMDA is 136 grounds.

The OSR lands taken over by the Corporation on Friday include Jains Saagarika Residential Houses - 610 sq.m.; Rattasomerset Greenways Hotel - 784.37 sq.m.; TVH Belicia Towers - 1047.74 sq.m.; Chaitanya - 269.42 sq.m.; The Lord's Real Value Building - 433.21 sq.m.; Marriot Hotel - 2325.07 sq.m.; Leela Hotel - 1944 and 623.52 sq.m.; True Value Home - 1097.74 sq.m.; and Image Auditorium - 1335 sq.m. in MRC Nagar; Ceebros R.A.Puram - 1063.3 sq.m.; Srijan Properties - 1130 sq.m.; SutherLand Global Services - 566.56 sq.m.; Ceedeeyes Regal Palm - 2780.3 sq.m.; LCS Building - 121.72 sq.m.; and KG Constructions - 181.09 sq.m. in Velachery; World Bank - 1475 sq.m.; Ascendas IT park - 4100.4 plus 2031.39 sq.m.; and Ticel Bio Park - 2024 sq.m. in Taramani; and Attrium Apartments, Thiruvanmiyur - 1900 sq.m.
