Members of the Hindu Makkal Katchi on Wednesday lodged a complaint against actor Kamal Haasan for his ‘derogatory remarks against Hindus through media and social network sites’.
The members submitted the complaint at the City Police Commissionerate seeking action against the actor.
They charged that in a television interview, Mr. Kamal Haasan, quoting the Mahabarata, stated that it was the place where a woman was used as a pawn in gambling.
The Hindu Makkal Katchi members claimed that the speech of the actor may incite enmity between groups and cause disturbance to public tranquillity.
