The Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority (CMDA) on Monday locked and sealed a building on Coats Road, T.Nagar, after it violated a number of plan permission rules.

The building, bearing Plot No.5 and Door No.24, was found to be in violation of approved norms, a CMDA release said.

The owner had obtained planning permission from the Chennai Corporation on September 1, 2009, for construction of ground floor as cottage industry and first floor as residential dwelling.
