A routine educational tour turned into a special event for students of Sishya School on Monday when they met the Chief Minister, Jayalalithaa, at her office in the Secretariat at Fort St. George. They not only met her but also got an opportunity to take a group photograph with the Chief Minister along with their teachers.

According to a press release, when the Chief Minister came to her office on Monday, she came to know about the students’ visit to the historic 17{+t}{+h}century monument. She invited the students to her office and interacted with them. The Chief Minister wished them a very bright future and also expressed her happiness over meeting them.

During her interaction with students, the Chief Minister asked them to concentrate on studies and extra-curricular activities rather than spending all their time in front of the computer or television “You should also go out and play. You should engage yourself in sports and games also,” she said.

Extending her support to their career and to the institution, the Chief Minister said: “If at any time you require the assistance of the Government of Tamil Nadu, we are here, I am here to give your school and yourself all the assistance you may need,” she added.
