World of Titan, Mogappair, conducted ‘Winning Edge ’12,’ a chess competition, for school students.

The tournament which was held on October 13 and 14 at the World of Titan showroom at Mogappair had more than 200 participants. The categories for the tournament included age groups, 8, 10, 12, and 14. The winners walked away with the latest Titan watches and cups and they received it from V. Kameswaran, an International Chess Player and Coach, Sahil Ahmed of Velammal School was the winner of the boys - under – eight category and S. Abinav Ram Kumar of SBOA won the second Place. Miruthula and Nivedita of DAV won the first and second place for the same category. For the boys under 10 age group, V. Anantha Venkatesan and K.G. Rahul Kumar of Velammal School won the first and second place respectively and V. Keerthi of DAV won for the girls’ category. The other winners for the categories are boys - under – 12: S .A. Satish, winner, N. M .Ranjith Raj, second place. Girls - under – 12: S .Sangavi, winner, Aarthi, second place. Boys - under 14: Karthik Narayanan, winner, K. Aravind, second place.
