Friends of Tribals Society (FTS) presents FTS Bazaar 2012, an exhibition showcasing ethnic wear, jewellery, fashion accessories, diyas, eatables, gift items, artefacts and more.
As many as 65 participants from across India will be showcase their products. Apart from products of urban entrepreneurs, those by villagers will be on sale and display too.
There will also be a carnival for children, a free traditional sweet-making class and beauty tips session.
Entry is free. The event is a fundraiser to support the education of rural and tribal children.
The exhibition will be held on September 20 (11 a.m. to 11 p.m.) and 21 (10 a.m. to 11 p.m.) at Laity Hall, CSI Bain School, Kilpauk.

The Indo Cine Appreciation Foundation, in association with the Embassy of The Netherlands, New Delhi, and the Consulate General of The Netherlands, Chennai, organises a Netherlands Film Festival. It will be held from September 26 to 29 at the Russian Centre of Science and Culture, 74, Kasthuri Ranga Road, Alwarpet.
Films directed by André van Duren, Margien Rogaar, Victor Ponten, Jim Taihuttu, Erik de Bruyn, Antoinette Beumer, Joost van Ginkel, Jaap van Heusden and Jella Nesna will be screened.

Contest For the title Nano Student Of The Year
Tata Motors launches the Nano Student Of The Year contest, for college students in the country. Students above 18 years can register for the contest on www.nanostudentoftheyear.com. Registration closes on September 28. In the first round, students will be judged on four parameters — academics, culture, sports and social life. The top eight finalists will be declared on the website on October 2.
These eight will compete for the title by perform six tasks. Viewers and Tata Nano fans will vote for their favourite student on the website. At the finale, actors Varun Dhawan, Siddharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt will judge the finalists. Points given by them will be added to the viewers’ votes. The student with the highest number of votes will bag the title.
The Nano Student Of The Year will be awarded with a Rs. 3-lakh scholarship, the first runner-up will get a Tata Nano, and the second runner-up, a Macbook Pro.
