MIT student fell in front of EMU heading towards Tambaram

A 21-year-old final year engineering student was run over by a suburban train near Chromepet railway station on Tuesday morning.

Shakeel Mohammed, a final year B.E (Information Technology) student of MIT, Chromepet, was run over by an electric train towards Tambaram at 10.25 a.m.

While the exact details of the death is yet to be established, policemen at Government Railway Police Station, Tambaram, said the victim was reportedly upset as he did not get through the campus placement interviews held in the institution recently.
