September 30, 2014 11:20 am | Updated November 17, 2021 04:31 am IST - CHENNAI:

The AIADMK party cadre went on one-day fasts in the southern suburbs on Monday, to condemn the court order against Jayalalithaa.

In Tambaram, animal husbandry minister and Tambaram MLA T.K.M. Chinnaiyya launched a fast, with more than five hundred cadre participating.

Sriperumbudur MP K.N. Ramachandran and Pallavaram MLA P. Dhansingh launched a fast in Pallavaram.

Mr. Dhansingh said it was a false case made against “the leader of masses”, and to show their solidarity in condemning the Karnataka court’s order, the party had organised such protests across the State.

Hundreds of protesters participated in similar fasts organised in Alandur, Anakaputhur and Pammal.
