The finals of this year’s edition of The Hindu Young World painting competition for school students will be held on Sunday from 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. at SBOA School and Junior College, Anna Nagar.
The contest, being organised in 15 cities across South India, is an integral part of the newspaper in education programme of The Hindu.
The competition is open to students from classes IV to VII in the junior category and classes VII to Class X in the senior category. The finalists are selected from entries received and they are given topics to showcase their talent.
The winners will be awarded cash prizes of Rs. 5,000, Rs. 3,000 and Rs. 2,000 in the senior category and Rs. 3,000, Rs. 2,000 and Rs. 1,000 in the junior category.
Consolation prizes of Rs. 500 each will be awarded to seven selected participants in both the categories.
The presenting sponsor is MIOT Hospitals and the associate sponsors are Amrutanjan and Dabur. The beverage partner is Fruitnik.
