Cooking instructions
Take rice in a mixer and grind it to a course powder (rawa like consistency.)
Take a pan, heat oil, add mustard seeds, Bengal gram, black gram and red chillies. Fry till it turns golden brown. Now, add water and salt. Increase the flame, and let the water boil. When the water boils, lower the flame and add the rice powder. Stir occasionally. Cook till the water is fully absorbed (the paste should be like chapatti dough). Switch off the flame and cool for a few minutes. Make small balls of the cooked dough using a scoop or by hand.
Steam the balls for 20-25 minutes and serve hot with any chutney, preferably dal chutney.
In a small pan, heat oil, add Bengal gram and red chilli. Fry till it turns golden brown. Cool. Grind the fried gram with all other ingredients to a smooth paste and serve.
