The sixth edition of ‘DesignACE’, an annual engineering design contest, drew to a close on Saturday.
According to a press release, the contest received 590 entries. The theme for the contest was ‘sustainable products through manufacturing’, and entries were judged on parameters such as sustainability, depth, design capability and innovation, among other aspects.
Ten teams competed in the finale. The release said a team from Kongu Engineering College stood first. SRM College was the first runner-up and Sri Shakthi Institute of Engineering, second runner-up.
According to a press release, engineering students from across the country participated in the contest organised by Barry- Wehmiller International and SolidWorks Inc.
