Tanishq Jewellery announces the launch of ‘Tanishq Swarna Sangeetham - Season 2’. The reality show of Tanishq in collaboration with Raj TV is back again in a bigger avatar this year. ‘Tanishq Swarna Sangeetham’ is a reality show that provides a platform for aspiring classical singers who yearn for a stage to showcase their musical talent. Last year saw thousands of budding musicians from all over the country and even the NRI communities abroad throng the studios for their musical break.

Hosted by renowned Tamil film actress Anuja Iyer, Season 2 will be judged by revered musicians and Judges of Season 1 Papanasam Ashok Ramani and S. Soumya. The show will be launched on Raj TV from February 3.

“Tanishq Swarna Sangeetham is an initiative to help the younger generation reaffirm their ties with the roots,” said Ms. Lata Padmanabhan, Regional Business Manager of Titan Industries. “‘Tanishq Swarna Sangeetam’ has been hugely popular among rasikas and hence we are now bringing season 2” said Mrs. Suparna Mitra, AVP and Business head, South.

Mala, COO, Raj TV said,“The responses we received for season 1 were tremendous and so we have come up with a more entertaining show this season.” Mr. Papanasam Ashok Ramani, renowned Carnatic vocalist, and grandson of noted Tamil film composerBrahmashri Papanasam Sivam said, “Season 1 has been exciting for the participants and the audience alike. We look forward more people contesting for the show and discover, encourage and nurture those incredible talents in Carnatic music.”

The winners of Season 1 Ashwath Narayanan (19); 1 runner up – Apoorva Ravindran (16) and Narayanan (24) have established a name for themselves today. Season 2 of ‘Tanishq Swarna Sangeetham’ will see participants being put through a competitive journey of Raagas, thalas and Pallavi , to find the next Golden Voice of Carnatic Classical Music. Renowned celebrity musicians such as Sudha Raghunathan, Unnikrishnan and others will also appear to motivate the talent.
