Samskrita Bharati invites students for Gita Jayanti

Samskrita Bharati celebrates Gita Jayanti in the second week of December every year to create an awareness on Gita among laymen.

This year, it will be held on December 15 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., at the Kalyan Nagar Association (Ayyappan Hall), Mylapore. The celebration aims at involving the Sanskrit-pursuing students to participate with friends and family, thereby creating a forum for them to exhibit their talents.

Highlights

Some of the highlights of the programme will be Gita parayanam (8th Chapter), quiz contests and games. There would be a wide display of Sanskrit books and CDs, which will be useful as supplementary study materials.

Samskrita Bharati Invites all Samskrita Abhimanees to Gita Jayanti Function!!

Every year in the 2nd week of December Samskrita Bharati celebrates a 3-hour Gita Jayanti function at several places throughout Chennai. This is to create General Awareness amongst laymen about the Gita; to involve the Samskrit pursuing students to participate in the function with family, friends, neighbours & colleagues; to create a forum for the students to exhibit their talents thru Samskrit medium (songs, skits, stories, mimicry / any other talent) At Mylapore we like to conduct the same on Saturday Dec 15th from 4pm to 7pm. We expect all those who are pursuing Samskrit study at different levels thru Samskrita Bharati / any other institution to participate / attend alongwith their friends / family. We also expect local volunteers of Samskrita Bharati (About 100 people can be expected)
