On December 12, when actor Rajinikanth turned 63, a section of his fans spent the day watching his movies at Albert Theatre. Murattu Kaalai , Pokkiri Raja , Paayum Puli and Manithan were screened at the theatre.

All these Rajinikanth-starrers from the past had been directed by S.P. Muthuraman and produced by AVM Productions.

“What I like about my Rajini is his simplicity. He is a man, who is strongly connected to his roots, and never forgets the past. Family dramas, love stories, comedy, revenge tales, action flicks, spirituality, and science-fiction, Rajini has done them all with ease. Despite having done various roles and achieving stupendous success as an actor, he remains simple. The other qualities I admire most in my ‘Baba’ is spirituality, and charity,” R. Sridharan, a fan, said.

Another group of diehard fans flocked to the actor’s Poes Garden residence, despite the fact that Rajinikanth not in town.

They met his wife Latha Rajinikanth and conveyed their good wishes. Known for his simplicity, and down-to-earth-nature, Rajini, as fondly called by his fans, has struck a chord across all age groups with his on-screen charisma, mannerisms, stylish, and punch dialogues’ delivery.

“We eagerly waited for the audio launch of Thalaivar’s upcoming film Kochadaiiyaan – which was directed by his daughter Soundarya R. Ashwin and written by director K. S. Ravikumar – today (Thursday). We are disappointed that its launch has been postponed,” a group of fans from St. Thomas Mount said.

Some of his notable films include – Baasha , Thillu Mullu , Annamalai , Baba , Thalapathy , Mullum Malarum , Kuselan , Chandramukhi , and Paayum Puli .
