Three arrested

The police have arrested three persons for chain-snatching incidents in and around Tambaram area. 

Madhanraj (27) and Selvam (22) were nabbed during a vehicle check at Pallavaran, while Mohamed Rafiq (34) was arrested in Madipakkam.

The police recovered 23 sovereigns of jewellery from Madhanraj and Selvam, while 21 sovereigns and a two-wheeler used to commit the crimes were recovered from Rafiq. A senior officer said they had intensified patrolling in remote parts of Adambakkam, Pallikaranai and Madipakkam.

Meanwhile, two persons were detained for chain-snatching in Vepery on Tuesday night.
