Man found murdered identified

The police said the victim was Anthony D’souza (62), a garment dealer who ran a showroom at M.K.B. Nagar and a resident of Pallikaranai.

The body of a man, which was found dumped at Madhavaram Milk Colony on Tuesday morning, has been identified.

The police said the victim was Anthony D’souza (62), a garment dealer who ran a showroom at M.K.B. Nagar and a resident of Pallikaranai.

After he went missing on August 4, his family lodged a complaint with the M.K.B. Nagar police.

Around 7 a.m. on Tuesday, the body of a man, with his hands and legs tied and with a deep cut on the head, was spotted on a lane in Madhavaram Milk Colony.

The police registered a case of murder and were probing. On Saturday, Anthony’s family members identified his body.

Further investigation is under way, sources said.
