Four men, including a medical practitioner, arrested and jailed in January for the murder of neurosurgeon S.D. Subbiah have been booked under the Goondas Act.

According to police sources, key suspect James Sathish Kumar (37), a physician of ESIC hospital, Tirunelveli, and three others, Selvaprakash, Murugan and Iyappan, were arrested by a special team following months of manhunt.

Following orders from the Commissioner of Police, the four men were booked under the Goondas Act a few days ago.

Two of the suspects attacked Dr. Subbiah near Billroth Hospital in R.A. Puram on September 14, 2013, and he died a few days later. The police said the motive was a property dispute.

Investigators are still on the hunt for prime suspect Williams, an advocate.
