A bounteous year for Santhanam, a new voice for Vijay, and an 'Edhirneechal' reunion for the pair that created 'Kolaveri'! Read on.
Santhanam is a happy man, and why not? This year saw him the busiest, and next year seems to get even better with plenty of offers coming his way. He has been signed to act alongside Ajith Kumar and Anushka in Siruthai Siva’s next project. This is his third film with Ajith after Kireedam and Billa. Santhanam’s other projects include Alex Pandian with Karthi, Neethane En Ponvansantham with Jiiva, Singam 2 with Suriya, Mapillai Vinayagar, Boologam, and All In All Azhagu Raja. Says Santhanam, “I hope the coming year turns out to be as good as the current year has been.” Incidentally, Santhanam’s film as a producer too will release next year.
The music for actor Vijay-director Vijay’s film will be composed by G.V. Prakash Kumar. Apparently, the music director has composed three pieces, and asked actor Vijay to lend his voice to one of them — and the actor agreed to do it! The director and the producer are thrilled, for they believe this will be one of the highlights of the film. Here’s another nugget — it is rumoured that singer Vijay Yesudas will don the role of a villain in the film.
When actor Dhanush and Anirudh Ravichandran came together ‘Kolaveri’ happened. And, the two will come together again for Edhirneechal, which has Sivakarthikeyan and Priya Anand. The film will see Dhanush turn a producer. The music director has posted in his microblogging site that he’s excited about the songs. “I feel Edhirneechal will be better than even 3 as far as music is concerned. Two songs will be sung by Dhanush and one by me. I will also rap in one song.” The album is to be released this month-end.
