The makers of the Karthi-starrer Alex Pandian seem to have several aces up their sleeve. The ‘Bad Boy’ number has been aired fully on Sun Music much ahead of the film’s release. While the number was becoming popular, thanks to Devi Sri Prasad’s fast-paced, dance-worthy signature style of music, an event was organised at YMCA in Royapettah. Exclusive footage from the star-studded programme will soon be telecast on Sun TV. The film, directed by Suraj, is expected to hit the big screen this Pongal.

It’s not unusual to receive New Year greetings from Kollywood personalities. But this one was different. Director Vijay who has made some path-breaking films such as Madarasapattinam and Deiva Thirumagal sent out mails to the media wishing them for the New Year. And guess what, with it he also gave an update on his work and made some clarifications about his upcoming project. As of now, the film starring Vijay and Amala Paul is untitled. The second schedule of shooting will take place this month. Art director Nagaraj and more than 500 carpenters worked day and night to recreate the Mahim area of Mumbai for the shoot that will involve 1,000 junior artistes besides the lead cast, he said.
