What it is about…
Guest , written and directed by Raja Karthic, is about how the mobile phone is being misused by youngsters. The cast comprises Harish Kalyan, Poonam Kaur, Zia Siddique, Bharani and Singampuli. The music has been scored by the duo Raj-Kaganine. The audio of the film was released in the presence of directors S.P. Jananathan and Pandiraj, music director Devi Sriprasad and writer Prabhakar.

There are five songs in the album. ‘Sikki Kolla Vayenda,’ sung by Raina Reddy and written by Karunaa, grows on the listener. It is repeated at the end. The same lyricist has written ‘Kodaiyil Pozhigindra Mazhaiye,’ sung by Harish Kalyan. ‘Ennachu Enakku,’ sung by Dhinakar Vinitha Narayan, is a fine listen. ‘Ya Ya Ya Honeyaana Thegam,’ sung by Priya Darshini and written by Raja Karthic, is for the frontbenchers.

Producer Moorthy Srinivasulu and A. Thirumal Reddy: We have been connected with the film industry in the form of Celebrity Cricket League matches. We are also producing serials. We wanted to encourage talented writers and directors. Impressed with Raja Karthic’s storyline, we decided to produce the film. We are happy with the final product.
Director Raja Karthic: I’ve worked as an associate under directors Bharathiraja, R.K. Selvamani, Lingusamy and Vasanthabalan. It was director Ramgopal Varma’s associate Suresh Varma, who first heard the story as he is the creative head of the production house. After he approved the project, we began to shoot the film. While it is titled Guest in Tamil, in Telugu it is The Guest . The cast comprises several new faces who bring a certain freshness to the film.
Hero Harish Kalyan: In Guest , I play a character which is a lot like me in real life. I am a happy-go-lucky guy. I feel Guest will take me places. I liked the way the director has written the script. I am eagerly awaiting the release of the film.
Music director Raj: I have scored the music for over 300 films under the name Raj Kodi. Now I am working with Kaganine, who has also composed the music for some films. This is our first film together. I have got a positive response to our songs and we are happy about it.
