Sri Kalikambal temple located on Thambu Chetty Street, George Town, has been refurbished and consecration will take place in two stages. Preliminary rituals begin on January 14 and Mahakumbabishekam will be done for Sri Kamadeswarar vimanam and other deities on January 17, 8-9 a.m.

Sivacharya Trust (9840099954) has taken up renovation and expansion of the 400-year old temple, Yagasala pujas will continue and culminate in the consecration of the Rajagopuram and the shrine of the presiding deity, Sri Kalikambal on January 23, 8.45-9.45 a.m.
