After weeks of anxiety over delay in the announcement of class XII CBSE results, there is good news. The Board will declare the results at 11 a.m. today.

According to the official website of the Board, the results will available on, and A total of 69,822 students registered for the class XII exams in Chennai region, which comprises the southern and western states.

The delay in results proved a stumbling block for many students seeking admission to under-graduate courses in colleges across the country and abroad. According to them, this year’s results are a week later than last year’s.

“I cleared the entrance test for admission to a deemed university but could not attend counselling as the class XII results were not out,” said H. Mubina, student of a CBSE school. The fact that CBSE class X results were declared at an unexpected time, around 6 in the evening, has added to the woes of many students. “I kept checking the websites every now and then to see if there was any announcement regarding the results,” said Mubina.

Students applying for programmes in Singapore were a worried lot, too.
