Commuters of Metropolitan Transport Corporation are happy that a bus shelter has finally come up at the MTC stop on Muthu Kumaraswamy Naicker Road in Guindy. The Greater Chennai Corporation installed the facility following reports in The Hindu Downtown.

Route numbers 21G (Tambaram to Broadway); E18 (Guduvanchery to Broadway); G18 (Guduvanchery to T.Nagar); 570 (Kelambakkam to CMBT); M119 (Guindy to Chemmenchery); 60 (Anakaputhur to Broadway); and 49 (Thiruvanmiyur to Iyyappanthangal) are among the route numbers halting at the stop. However, the section for route numbers heading towards Tambaram, Urapakkam and Chengalpet still lack a shelter. In that space, two-wheelers and autorickshaws can be found parked.
