Body of Florence Angel to be airlifted to Chennai

The body of city college student Florence Angel (22) who died in an accident in Nepal when a suspension bridge snapped is expected to arrive by an Indian Airlines flight on Monday night. Another student in the group is still missing.

Speaking to The Hindu from Chitwan, Nepal, John Peter, a faculty member of Mar Gregarious College said seven students including critically injured John Champalong, B. Ramesh and Shijo Davis are undergoing treatment at a hospital in Chitwan.

“In case the flight to India is delayed, the three will undergo surgery at the hospital here. However, an army team is searching for Hamida Momin who is missing. Others who survived are expected to be airlifted to Kathmandu on Monday,” he added.

The post-mortem of Angel's body will be conducted in a Kathmandu hospital.
