Body found in Pallavada is of woman from Tada

A body, which was found near Pallavada on Tuesday, was identified to be that of a 32 –year-old woman from near Tada in Andhra Pradesh.

Police sources said that Khurdoos Ansari, an auto driver, had lodged a complaint on February 9 at the Pudikuppam police station in Nellore district that his wife, Sheik Sharmila, who sells cotton gloves, had been missing since February 5.

The Padirivedu police received information about a body which had been found near the Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh border on Tuesday and reached the spot, to find the highly decomposed body of Sheik Sharmila. While there were no external injuries or bleeding, the police said that she might have been strangulated, as there were marks around her neck.

The body was sent to the Ponneri Government Hospital for post-mortem examination and later handed over to the family on Wednesday.

The Padhirivedu police and are investigating.
